MaviTech Professional Services is partnering with a rapidly growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Sourcing & Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, develop supplier partnerships, and build a high-performing procurement team.

This leadership role offers the opportunity to help shape procurement strategy while supporting manufacturing growth, operational excellence, and supply chain performance.


Primary Responsibilities

Procurement Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.

  • Establish team goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.

  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.


Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop sourcing strategies for manufactured components and production materials.

  • Identify, qualify, and negotiate with strategic suppliers.

  • Perform supplier consolidation and make-versus-buy analyses.

  • Monitor commodity markets and supply chain risks.


Supplier Management

  • Build long-term supplier partnerships.

  • Lead supplier evaluations and performance reviews.

  • Resolve quality, delivery, and capacity issues.

  • Support supplier development initiatives.


Procurement Operations

  • Oversee RFQs, purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and expediting.

  • Ensure procurement compliance and documentation.

  • Partner with Planning and Operations to support production schedules.


Cost & Performance

  • Lead complex supplier negotiations.

  • Drive cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives.

  • Track procurement metrics including:

  • Cost Savings

  • Supplier Performance

  • On-Time Delivery

  • Inventory Performance

  • Lead Time Reduction


Cross-Functional Collaboration to support new product introductions and ongoing production.

Qualifications and Job Information

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field

  • 5+ years of sourcing or procurement experience within manufacturing

  • 2+ years leading procurement or sourcing teams

  • Experience sourcing build-to-print manufactured components

  • Experience negotiating supplier agreements

  • Experience supporting manufacturing production

  • ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, QAD, or similar)

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings

  • Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems


Preferred

  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience

  • CPSM, CSCP, MBA, or related certification

  • Experience with machined parts, castings, forgings, fabricated components, or metals

  • ITAR/EAR experience

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
