This role oversees cross-functional teams and ensures programs meet technical, schedule, and financial objectives while supporting customer requirements.Â
The Program Manager will lead new product development, sustainment, and R&D initiatives, while also supporting operational growth and production scaling in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Program ManagementÂ
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of development, sustainment, and R&D programs.Â
Define program scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.Â
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.Â
Track program performance using KPIs, earned value metrics, and financial reporting.Â
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal leadership and external stakeholders.Â
Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense program requirements.Â
New Product DevelopmentÂ
Drive development programs from concept through prototyping, qualification, and production readiness.Â
Support proposal development, cost estimates, and statement of work (SOW) creation.Â
Align engineering milestones with program objectives and customer requirements.Â
Operational & Business SupportÂ
Support operational scaling and production ramp-up initiatives.Â
Assist with facility expansion, capacity planning, and supplier coordination.Â
Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and operations to support program execution.Â
Qualifications and Job Information
QualificationsÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field.Â
7+ years of experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.Â
3+ years of program or project management experience.Â
Experience managing complex engineering or manufacturing programs.Â
Strong understanding of aerospace product lifecycle (design, development, production, sustainment).Â
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program scheduling tools.Â
Familiarity with defense program structures and regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and ITAR.Â
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.Â
Desired SkillsÂ
PMP certification or advanced degree.Â
Experience supporting production ramp-up or facility startup environments.Â
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.Â
