Mechanical Engineer (DriveWorks)

Location: Hart County, Georgia (Onsite)


Our client headquartered in Hart County, Georgia, is looking to hire two Mechanical Engineers with a strong focus on DriveWorks automation. These positions will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will play a critical role in maintaining, enhancing, and expanding existing DriveWorks configurations and automation systems.


This role is ideal for someone who can step in immediately drive DriveWorks development while also supporting ongoing design and engineering efforts using SolidWorks and PDM systems.


One of the two roles will have some involvement in architectural submittals and documentation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of existing DriveWorks projects, configurations, and automation workflows

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance DriveWorks rules, forms, and automation logic

  • Develop and optimize configurable product automation using DriveWorks and SolidWorks

  • Create and update SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings for manufactured products

  • Review and update production drawings and engineering documentation

  • Drive efficiencies in CAD automation, design tables, and documentation processes

  • Maintain and manage CAD libraries, DriveWorks configurations, and engineering standards

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams to support production needs

  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs)

  • Assist with reverse engineering and technical documentation/manual creation



Qualifications and Job Information

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with DriveWorks (required – top priority)

  • Proven ability to build, modify, and maintain DriveWorks automation projects

  • Strong experience with SolidWorks in a production/manufacturing environment

  • Experience with Sheet Metal and Weldments design

  • Experience with PDM or similar data management systems

  • Experience with ECOs and BOMs

  • Strong understanding of CAD standards, documentation, and manufacturing workflows

  • Ability to step into an existing system and quickly take ownership

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • (Associates in Drafting/Design or equivalent hands-on experience will be considered)

  • Experience with DraftSight

  • Experience with architectural drawings / submittals (for one role)

  • Experience working in configurable or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environments


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Onsite role in Hart County, GA

  • Current schedule: 5 days/week, 10-hour days (5x10s)

  • Target schedule: transition back to 4x10s

  • Position is exempt (no overtime compensation)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
