Our client, Titan Steel Door, headquartered in Hart County, Georgia, is looking to hire two Mechanical Designer/Engineers. These positions will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will play a key role in creating, reviewing, and updating production drawings using SolidWorks and PDM systems.
One of these roles will have a stronger focus on architectural submittals and documentation, so candidates with an architectural background are highly encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CAD principles, production documentation, and manufacturing processes. This role includes work in production drawings, reverse engineering, and technical documentation/manual creation.
Key Responsibilities
Create precise SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings for manufactured products
Review and update production drawings and documentation
Support architectural submittals (for one of the two roles)
Drive efficiencies in CAD configurations, design tables, and documentation processes
Maintain and manage CAD libraries and engineering documentation standards
Collaborate with leadership, project managers, and technical teams
Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
Assist with reverse engineering and technical publications/manuals as needed
Qualifications and Job Information
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
(Associates in Drafting/Design or equivalent hands-on experience will be considered)
Strong experience with SolidWorks (production environment)
Experience with Sheet Metal and Weldments design
Experience with PDM or similar data management systems
Experience with ECOs and BOMs
Strong understanding of CAD standards, documentation, and manufacturing workflows
Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DraftSight (required exposure per team needs)
Experience with DriveWorks (nice to have, not required)
Architectural drawing / submittal experience (for one role)
Schedule & Work Environment
Onsite role in Hart County, GA
Current schedule: 5 days/week, 10-hour days (5x10s)
Target schedule: transition back to 4x10s
Position is exempt (no overtime compensation)
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
