General Manager (Equipment Manufacturing)
Our client, a manufacturer of filling and packaging equipment, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily business operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with company goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing, engineering, or packaging equipment, with expertise in process optimization, team management, financial oversight, and a commitment to safety & quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
Formulate and implement business strategies aimed at enhancing revenue, improving operational efficiency, and expanding market reach.
Guide cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, sales, and customer service, to ensure integrated operations.
Cultivate a culture centered on innovation, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
Establish performance objectives and ensure their attainment through strong leadership.
Operations & Production Management
Manage manufacturing and assembly processes, focusing on efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Enhance and refine processes to boost productivity and minimize costs.
Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Champion lean manufacturing and initiatives for process enhancement.
Financial & Business Performance
Create budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to ensure profitability.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
Discover cost-reduction opportunities and promote revenue growth initiatives.
Sales & Customer Relations
Partner with sales and marketing teams to enhance customer engagement and drive business development.
Forge and nurture robust relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
Supervise customer service operations to guarantee high satisfaction levels.
Human Resources & Team Development
Attract, train, and build a high-performing team.
Promote a positive workplace culture that fosters growth and innovation.
Establish performance evaluation systems to enhance accountability and results.
Qualifications and Job Information
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
7+ years of experience in manufacturing, packaging and/or operations with a successful track record in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean, supply chain management, and quality practices.
Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with and manage diverse teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with financial management, budgeting, and P&L oversight.
