Our client headquartered in Newton County, GA is seeking a Field Service technician. In this position, you will be helping to shape the future of this organization's world class customer experience and services support.              

The Field Service Technician will partner with customers, the sales team and engineering group to help create a world-class installation and product operation experience. This person will help  field service team to help enrich the lives of clients’ customers. 

Qualifications and Job Information

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel to sites to manage and conduct start-up & field service calls and schedules

  • Support and answer customer and job site questions 

  • Sell-in and manage product field service plan

  • Generate quotes for start-ups, field service visits and issue resolution

  • Create and train a network of local contractors to assist in service calls

  • Work with customers to answer questions and resolve field issues and develop and nurture relationships with new and existing customers

  • Partner with marketing, sales and engineering to help develop and sell a product service plan

  • Perform research and convey ideas to prevent re-occurrence of issues and improve product design

  • Work with engineering and sales team on new opportunities and product development to help minimize start-up time and prevent service issues before they can happen

  • Create presentations and conduct training classes on our product service requirements

  • Monitor and manage costs associated with field service group

  • Provide status reports to the organization


Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Field Service Experience with Dehumidifiers, HVAC or other air handling equipment

  • 3+ years of experience with PLC, Controllers, or other smart controls

  • Familiarity with Electrical and Sheet Metal design

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Very good organizational and time management skills

  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly and effectively

  • Professional, positive, and motivated personality

  • Ability to travel up to 75%


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering

  • 2 years of Field Services Management experience 

  • Experience working with dehumidifiers

  • Technical writing skills

  • Sales experience


Travel: While on job sites, hours may have to be adjusted accordingly to suit the needs of the site. Availability or travel in off hours may be necessary to support our customers. Travel time is expected not to exceed 75%.

Benefits: After your first 90 days, our client will provide you with 2 weeks of annual vacation time, PTO/Sick time, and the option to participate in HIP Nation insurance and our 401K program (Co. match up to 4%). Accrual of vacation & PTO/Sick time will begin immediately upon hire.

Pay: 55K to 70K base salary

Bonus: Annual bonus + Commission on new product sales or service plan sales or new business development
