This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys mentoring technical teams while driving product development from concept through production.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB design, electronics manufacturing, cross-functional collaboration, and engineering leadership within a fast-paced product development environment.


Key Responsibilities


Engineering Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and PCB designers.

  • Manage engineering priorities, project schedules, and resource planning to ensure successful project execution.

  • Foster collaboration across electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering productivity and product quality.


Product Development

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the complete electronic product development lifecycle.

  • Oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, design reviews, and engineering validation activities.

  • Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, thermal, and mechanical requirements.

  • Establish and maintain engineering best practices, design standards, and documentation processes.


Manufacturing Support

  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) initiatives.

  • Partner with manufacturing teams and external suppliers to improve production efficiency, quality, and yield.

  • Support new product introductions and transition designs into production.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions.


Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure products comply with applicable industry and regulatory standards.

  • Develop engineering documentation, design guidelines, and review processes.

  • Promote continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications and Job Information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on PCBA design and electronic product development.

  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering leadership or people management experience.

  • Experience leading electronic hardware development from concept through production.

  • Proficiency with industry-standard ECAD design software (such as Altium, Cadence, or similar platforms).

  • Strong understanding of:

  • High-speed digital circuit design

  • Analog and mixed-signal electronics

  • Signal integrity

  • Power distribution and power electronics

  • EMI/EMC design principles

  • Experience supporting electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturers, and supplier partnerships.

  • Strong project management, communication, and team leadership skills.
