The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a client-first mindset, and a solid foundation in both personal and business tax preparation. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team serving high-net-worth individuals and families with holistic financial, tax, and estate planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Accounting
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting for clients.
Provide strategic recommendations to clients based on financial performance analysis.
Tax Preparation & Compliance
Prepare and file individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Advise clients on tax planning strategies to optimize after-tax income and minimize liabilities.
Maintain expertise in current tax codes and apply them effectively to client situations.
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining strong relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.
Collaborate with internal financial advisors, attorneys, and other specialists to deliver integrated financial solutions.
Provide education and guidance on tax and financial matters in a professional, approachable manner.
Process Improvement & Technology
Leverage Lacerte Tax Software for preparation and filing efficiency.
Utilize Redtail CRM (or similar platforms) to maintain accurate and organized client records.
Identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency and client service delivery.
Qualifications and Job Information
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Active CPA license required.
5+ years of progressive accounting and tax experience, preferably in a client-facing or wealth management environment.
Strong knowledge of tax preparation, GAAP, and financial reporting.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, relationship, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Lacerte Tax Software and CRM platforms (e.g., Redtail).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday.
