Requirements
Our client is seeking a highly hands-on Automation and Controls Specialist / Engineer to support the design, programming, and commissioning of advanced automation systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning projects end-to-end—from electrical design to PLC programming and field support.
Qualifications and Job Information
PLC Programming
Develop and implement PLC programs from scratch for a variety of equipment and control systems.
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Carel, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Provide remote troubleshooting support via phone and email.
Travel to customer sites for installation support, diagnostics, and commissioning as required.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on PLC programming experience.
Component Selection
Specify and select all electrical and automation components, including:
 motors, circuit breakers, relays, VFDs, controllers, and related hardware.
Create and manage Job Parts Control Sheets (JPCS) in Excel for procurement.
Strong proficiency in Excel is highly preferred.
Electrical Design
Design electrical schematics for custom HVAC and automation equipment.
Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD experience required.
Experience with SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical (2D/3D), or EPLAN is preferred.
