Our client, a manufacturer of turbojet engines, is seeking a Assembly Supervisor (Aerospace). This position plays a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of UAV jet engine assembly and testing at their newly established production and test facility in Fulton County, GA.


The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, high-volume throughput while upholding the highest standards of quality and precision throughout the assembly and validation processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Development: Train, mentor, and review technicians to promote skill growth, safety compliance, and team performance.


  • Quality Oversight: Enforce quality and safety standards, conducting inspections and tests to ensure top-quality assemblies.


  • Resource Optimization: Manage floor inventory and coordinate with internal teams to maintain continuous production flow.


  • Production Accountability: Report daily output, address production issues, and manage short- and long-term resource planning.


  • LEAN and Operational Excellence: Drive LEAN initiatives, 5S compliance, and visual management to improve efficiency and communication.


  • Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to enhance processes, boost quality, and reduce waste for measurable operational gains.


  • Issue Resolution: Quickly address production challenges through root cause analysis and corrective actions.


Qualifications and Job Information

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant aerospace or industrial manufacturing experience.


  • 5+ years leading teams of 10+ employees; aerospace jet engine experience is a plus.


  • Proficient with assembly tools, ERP systems, and familiar with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.


  • LEAN methodology experience or certification.


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication leadership skills; team-oriented mindset.


  • U.S. citizenship required due to defense industry regulations.


  • 10% of international travel to Europe is required in the first year.


Work Environment and Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, which may be noisy and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • The role involves regular standing, walking, and lifting, and may be physically demanding.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
