Refrigeration Technician

Our client headquartered in Newton County, GA is seeking a seeking a highly skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join their team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for piping, brazing, charging, test, repairing, and troubleshooting refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in piping, brazing, charging, and be proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex refrigeration issues. Additionally, occasional on-site visits may be required to support field technicians and provide technical assistance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform pipe fitting, brazing, and soldering to connect refrigeration lines and components.

  • Charge refrigeration systems with appropriate refrigerants, ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in refrigeration systems using specialized tools and equipment.

  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, valves, motors, and controls.

  • Occasionally perform onsite inspections to ensure proper functioning of refrigeration systems and identify potential issues before they become major problems.

  • Collaborate with field technicians to provide technical support and guidance, both remotely and occasionally on-site.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports, equipment logs, and parts inventory.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in refrigeration systems.

  • Comply with safety regulations and follow proper procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to equipment.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School diploma

  • Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role.

  • Proficiency in pipe fitting, brazing, and soldering techniques.

  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, systems, and components.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex refrigeration issues.

  • Experience with charging refrigeration systems and handling various types of refrigerants.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with field technicians and provide technical guidance.

  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly and effectively

  • Professional, positive, and motivated personality

  • Ability to travel
