We are working with a client, headquartered in Europe, who is seeking a Software / Electrical Product Engineer for their Gwinnett County, GA facility. This international high-technology group operates within the aviation, defense, and space markets!

This customer is launching their US-based build and repair capabilities for their family of advanced communication solutions. They are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join their team and play a pivotal role in establishing in-house production and design capabilities in the United States.

This candidate will spend up to 1-year in France for product familiarization and training. After 1-year period, the candidate will return to work at the Atlanta-metro, Ga, facility as a Product Engineer and SME.

Qualifications and Job Information

Job Functions:

Training Phase (1-year in Paris, France):

  • Become a subject matter expert for the communication systems product line include Satellite Command & Control modems, high data rate receivers and RF recorders.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of product fundamentals, hardware, and software configurations.

  • Collaborate with the France Engineering team to understand manufacturing processes and quality standards.

  • Work closely with technical solution providers to bridge technical capabilities with DoD/IC requirements.

  • Engage with the technical end-user requirements generator (Customer) to ensure a comprehensive understanding of customer needs.

  • Develop a strong understanding of agile development methodologies and apply them to the product development process.

  • Craft and present solutions directly at the technical level to meet customer requirements.

Post-Training Phase (Gwinnett County, GA, USA):

  • Serve as the lead product engineer for the brand's modem product line.

  • Oversee and contribute to the establishment of in-house production and design capabilities.

  • Spearhead the technical approach and implementation of configuration solutions for technology products to meet customer specifications. 

  • Apply the knowledge gained during the training phase to lead the development and improvement of product line in the US.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful production, quality control, and adherence to customer requirements.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the repair and maintenance teams.

  • Continuously stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer requirements.

  • Act as a liaison between the US facility and the parent company in France to maintain effective communication and collaboration.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Willingness to relocate to Paris, France, for a one-year training periodand commit to US employment after 1-year training.

  • Proven technical background with expertise in C++ coding.

  • Experience working in a multinational environment.

  • Familiarity with bridging technical capabilities with DoD/IC requirements.

  • Meet KPIs and delivery/quality metrics.

  • Ability to develop and lead technical specifications/requirements based on customer feedback.

  • Previous experience in Agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, liaison, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in satellite operations environments, Agile Development, and Systems Architecture is a plus.

  • Experience with cloud and new-space industry specific to Low-Earth Orbit operations and modems is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the French language is a plus but not required.
