Our client headquartered in Franklin County, Georgia, is seeking a Senior SolidWorks Designer. This position will report directly to VP of Engineering and is pivotal in creating, reviewing, and updating production drawings using SolidWorks CAD tools.

The applicant must possess a solid understanding of drafting principles and documentation including Drawing Creation, Geometric Dimensioning, Weldments, Tolerancing and drawing redlining and revisions. This role will include associated tasks in production drawings, reverse engineering, with possible technical publication and manual writing responsibilities. Qualifications and Job Information


  • Creation of precise SolidWorks 3D & 2D Drawing data for manufactured products.

  • Deliver and present documentation and designs as required, capture requirements and use cases as required.

  • Work with leadership, project managers and technical teams to deliver high-quality deliverables.

  • Drive efficiencies in CAD configurations, automation, and documentation process when possible.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated expert experience designing with SolidWorks CAD tools in a production environment.

  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, able to identify problems, and think creatively to solve challenges.

  • Part and system level mechanical design experience.

  • Experience with using Excel design-tables and configurations using SolidWorks.

  • Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Ability to multi-task and communicate in a fast paced, technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Architectural product design and detailing experience.

  • Experience designing with Sheetmetal for hollow-steel part fabrication and production.

  • Experience guiding and helping to train design teams in process and best practices.

  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM, administrator, or as end-user.

Desired Skills:

  • Degree, or 2 Year Technical Degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology from an accredited institution or equivalent.

  • SolidWorks Associate / Professional in Mechanical Design (CSWA/CSWP) experience.


  • Onsite role in Franklin / Hart Counties, Georgia.
