Our client, a manufacturer of several lines of packaging automation and material handling machinery is seeking an experienced Sales Lead (Hunter - Remote USA or Canada) to drive new sales and support their customers in the packaging automation industry.


The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience building new sales in the automation equipment manufacturing industry, with the ability to translate complex automation solutions into value-driven sales. This position requires a proactive and consultative sales approach, engaging with clients to understand their unique automation challenges and recommending the best solutions.

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the packaging automation and material handling sectors.

  • Develop and nurture relationships with procurement teams, executives and engineers.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective sales materials and lead-generation strategies.

  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.

  • Analyze customer needs and work closely with internal engineering teams to design tailored automation solutions.

  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts in collaboration with sales and engineering teams.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor solutions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on automation efficiency, ROI, and system integration.

  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as needed.

Qualifications and Job Information

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Engineering, or Business Development within the automation equipment manufacturing industry

  • Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities, new logos, close deals and exceed sales targets in a B2B industrial automation environment.

  • Technical knowledge of conveyors, robotics, vision systems, machine control systems, and end-of-line packaging solutions.

  • Professional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
