Requirements
Our client, a manufacturer of turbojet engines, is seeking a Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of major programs. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets, and meeting technical requirements. The Program Manager will serve as the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, engineers, contractors, and government agencies.Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
Lead the development, execution, and delivery of turbojet engines, ensuring alignment with the overall program goals and objectives.
Define program scope, risk, goals, and schedules in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, and ensure they are adhered to throughout the program lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:
Work directly with our customers to build long term partnerships and ensure on time delivery of engines.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and procurement.
Provide leadership, direction, and support to the team to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Financial Oversight:
Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-efficiency.
Provide financial forecasts and analyze cost impacts on overall program profitability.
Qualifications and Job Information
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in program/project management within the aerospace or defense industry.
Strong understanding of aerospace systems, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
Experience with government contracting (e.g., DoD, NASA) and knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations.
Top Secret Clearance is a plus
