Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and conducting repairs on buildings and equipment. This person in this position will perform a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine trouble shooting and servicing, some electrical. The person in this position should possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. This person will work under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.  


  • Must be able to work on different mechanical systems using correct tools and PPE to include packaging conveyor systems, chain drives, gear boxes, drive shafts, pulley Systems, sprockets, rollers, solenoids, valves, splitter blades, bearings, shafts, rollers, belts, timing belts, and chains.  

  • Safely and effectively use hand and power tools, and diagnostic devices.  

  • Pneumatic Systems to include High Pressure Compressed Air Distribution Systems.  

  • Hydraulic Systems, to include Cylinders and Pumps.  

  • Troubleshooting skills using Multimeters, Clamp on Amp Meters.  

  • Must be able to perform basic welding to include MIG, TIG and ARC Welding.  

  • Understanding of safety requirements to include OSHA CFR 1910 basic safety requirements.  

  • Basic understanding of NFPA 70E to include Arc Flash and PPE requirements, OSHA include LOTO.   

  • Must be able to work at height, drive and operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts as needed.  

  • Must be able to work under pressure to assess equipment failures, determining the root cause of the failure and making effective repairs.  

  • Must be capable of prioritizing jobs and making critical decisions to assist in eliminating excessive downtime and enhance overall OEE for each piece of equipment.  

  • Must show an interest in learning new equipment and be a self-starter.  

Qualifications and Job Information


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends.  

  • Utilize data and tools to effectively communicate needs and expectations.  

  • Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands arms.  

  • Kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, lifting, carrying and moving objects and lift 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds.  

  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  

  • Hearing, (with or without correction) and able to perceive normal speaking levels, receive detailed information through oral communication to work with internal customers and by telephone and in person.  

  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours days, work any scheduled times, including overnight shifts.  



  • 2 years of Electronics Technology or Industrial Technology experience in a related field preferred.  

  • PLC’s experience.  

  • Microsoft Office Applications with emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel.  

  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.  



  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.   

  • Ability to self-direct activities, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.  

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills  

  • Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions while working under pressure.

  • Exposure to noise, and varying temperatures in plant operations.
