Our client is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide engineering and operational support to the sales team and customers. This role involves project management, product support, system-level development, and preparing quotations. The ideal candidate will aim to meet customer needs through timely delivery and continuous improvement in quality, products, and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Travel to meet with clients as needed (0 to %20).
Manage projects, system-level development, quoting, part creation, bill of material creation and maintenance, oversight of prototype material delivery and assembly, and customer support.
Conduct system compatibility and compliance testing.
Add and maintain client/program information in CRM.
Respond quickly to inbound client communications, including contact requests and product inquiries.
Coordinate between sales and other departments regarding projects, customer requirements, potential orders, existing orders, technical status, etc.
Resolve product and process issues with prototypes and/or initial production products.
Conduct special projects as requested by management.
Provide general support for all sales staff.
Qualifications and Job Information
Qualifications
Engineering Degree (preferred).
Computer architecture and components knowledge is critical.
3+ years of technical knowledge of Intel-based computer hardware solutions, preferably in the MIL/Aero market (preferred).
Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 or DO-STD-160 testing standards(preferred).
Experience with Windows Operating Systems, Word, Excel, Contact Management Software, Outlook; experience with Linux and RTOS Operating Systems is preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
